With an emphasis on upbeat electronic melodies and a blend of electronic and acoustic drum beats, the Rubens sound is primarily about putting a smile on your face while getting your head nodding. With a shared love of all things electronic and braindance with musical influences including the likes of Boards of Canada, Autechre, RDJ, Arovane, Black Dog and Caribou/Manitoba through to Depeche Mode, Neu!, Cocteau Twins, Eno, Bowie and more.

Skytree is a large, symbiotic musical plant growing out of the slightly-dented head of Evan Snyder. He thus seldom visits the barber for fear of losing inspiration. The botanical curiosity perched upon his brain compels Evan to create a sound that is distinctive, electronic and experimental while maintaining a primary focus upon natural surroundings, ancestral roots, organic geometry and the shear joy of banging about on instruments on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

He started this project in 2005 after graduating from the Academy Of Film & Television in Warsaw, Poland and he has directed many experimental movies. His new album Altruistic Behaviours is a surreal mix of abstract vocals, ambient dreamscapes and considerate, downtempo percussion.

With rough beginnings in the Edinburgh Electro scene in the late 1990’s, Locum76 established himself as a producer with his sidekick Lazum. Their partnership was qualified by a release on the Seminal Emissions label in the summer of 2004 under the name of Humdrum. Influenced initially by 70’s funk as well as early hip hop Locum’s sound has been twisted through contemporary home-grown electronica to its current shape.
